Lucknow Super Giants defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 75 runs in the 53rd match of the IPL 2022 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday, thanks to brilliant knocks by Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda, as well as sensational performances by Avesh Khan (3/19) and Jason Holder (3/31).
Lucknow Super Giants dethroned Gujarat Titans and ascended to the top of the points table with this victory. Both Lucknow and Gujarat have won eight of their first eleven games, but the K.L. Rahul-led side has a better run rate (0.703) than Hardik Pandya’s side (0.120).
KKR, on the other side, has been pushed to the brink of elimination with their seventh loss in 11 games.

After batting fifty against KKR on Saturday, LSG starter Quinton De Kock moved into the top five of the Orange Cap race. With 618 runs, RR’s Jos Buttler leads the field, followed by LSG’s KL Rahul, PBKS’ Shikhar Dhawan, DC’s David Warner, and De Kock.

Yuzvendra Chahal of RR strengthened his grip on the top spot with three wickets against PBKS. Chahal leads the table with 22 wickets, while DC’s Kuldeep Yadav, who is now second in the Purple Cap race, is four wickets behind Chahal with 18 scalps. Next on the list are Kagiso Rabad of PBKS, T Natarajan of SRH, and Wanindu Hasaranga of RCB.
