Excerpts from her interviews
- You have always been associated with fiction shows, what is the reason for doing a reality show now?
- There are quite a few reasons why I’m taking part in this show, but the biggest reason is that very few shows give you the opportunity to explore multiple adventures and varying experiences at the same time. The shoot has begun, and I’ve already enjoyed some adventures on the show and am hoping and looking forward to experiencing much more on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.
- Do you think being a part of a reality show would enable people to know more about you as a person?
- I have Instagram to connect with my fans on a personal level, but this show has put us in a very different environment and so fans will see a different side of me, and I hope they enjoy it.
- You are usually perceived to be a mellow person. What inspired you to be a part of an action-packed show?
- I really admire how this show challenges not only your physical strength but also your mental strength. I am already experiencing this. I firmly believe that staying strong mentally and pushing my own boundaries during tasks will help me grow as a person.
- Have you been frightened on the show?
- I think you should watch the show to know. But my aim is to continue to focus on the task and perform them to the best of my abilities. At least after that, I won’t have any regrets. I think there’s a bit of fear before a task. But I have been taking inspiration from the contestants that go ahead of me. I watch them perform the task and if they can do, then I also feel that I can as well.
- What has your family’s reaction been to join the show? How have they responded now that your shoot has begun?
- My siblings were very excited, but my parents were a little concerned. We’ve started shooting and as the competition progresses, I think they’ve become more confident. The tasks are quite scary, but the team has taken all the safety precautions to ensure our well-being. Actually, right after my first task, I spoke to them. They were very happy. The task location was beautiful and when I called my family, I was happy because I had a lot of fun doing the task and that call with them was a happy one.
- What are your views on the host Rohit Shetty?
- I think he is a very calm and composed person. Even when he used to host comedy shows in the past, I used to enjoy his screen presence as he was always very honest and never refrained from calling spade a spade. He is very helpful and pushes us, especially when we don’t believe in ourselves. He tells us that we must do it. And based on his encouragement, we can perform the tasks. I am really looking forward to continuing to learn and grow under his mentorship.
- Have you spoken to any former contestants to get some tips?
- I spoke to Shabbir, and he said just ensure you enjoy yourself. So, I’ve taken his advice very seriously, which is the best advice and I just implement it.
- Is there any specific preparation that you have made for Khatron Ke Khiladi 12?
- I haven’t done any special preparations as such, as it is all about your own physical and mental strength. Nothing can really prepare you for all the action and thrill and adventure this show has in store for us.
- How do you feel when you’re performing the stunt? Especially a scary one.
- I think that when you hear the task, you feel scared. When you go to perform it, you are scared. But once you start doing the stunt, you begin to enjoy it!
- How has the experience been so far?
- It has been great. There are many things that I have experienced and discovered about myself as well. It has been a great experience since I have been able to interact with so many people as well.
- How important is it for you to win a competition that you are taking part in?
- I think for me, participation itself is very important. Of course, I would feel bad if I didn’t win but I am here to have fun and just give my best without thinking much about the outcome.
