Amitabh Bachchan played a practical joke on Manoj Bajpayee

The industry referred to Manoj Bajpayee as the modern-day Amitabh Bachchan when he first gained notoriety in Hindi films with Satya. But Manoj was able to cross that item off his bucket list because he had met Big B. Soon after Satya, the two met, and a few months later, they found themselves co-starring in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2001 film Aks. In a previous appearance on Kapil Sharma’s show, Manoj related how Big B played a practical joke on him while they were filming the movie.
Manoj remembered that they had to jump from 100 feet during one of the movie’s action parts. Because of his fear of heights, the Family Man star admitted that jumping from this height was already a difficult feat for him. “I went there and was trying to figure out if there was any way that I could avoid this,” Anoj recalled saying. “Pehle toh maine jaake dekha, maine kahan yaar kisi tarah se yeh avoid ho sakta hai kya.” Anoj then recalled that the action director encouraged him and said that Big B will be with him throughout. Action director ne mujeh bohot taiyar kiya “Manoj tu ghabra mat sab ho jayega, sirf aankh band kar lena,” he revealed. Manoj, don’t worry: Bachchan saab rahenge vahan pe kuch nahi hoga tujhe. The situation will be fine. Simply shut your eyes. Nothing bad will happen to you because Bachchan Saab will be there.
Manoj claimed that he had been dozing off the entire time they had been taken up the waterfall to make the jump. My eyes were closed and Bachchan saab was holding my hand when I said, “Aankh band kiya hua maine, Bachchan saab mera haath pakde hue hain.” Amitabh Bachchan screamed out Manoj’s name while they were already 80 to 85 feet in the air, and the actor was immediately informed. Manoj, yaar kuch ho jaye toh Jaya ko bol dena ki yaar, toh Bachchan saab ki awaaz aayi, ‘Hum log about 80-85 feet tak gaye the,’ Main aise hi dara hua hun, Maine Kahan Sir. “Yaar sach mein ghar pe mere khabar kar dena,” said Voh Bole. (Bachchan Saab called out my name and said, “Manoj, if something happens to me, notify Jaya,” while we were about 80–85 feet above. I remarked, “Sir, I’m afraid already.” Inform my family, he said.
Manoj recalled how easily Big B was played for a fool, and Kapil was left in splits after hearing this tale. Additionally, the two performers collaborated on Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan and Satyagraha.
