Joe Root’s record over the last couple of years as captain is not impressive. England lost two series against India and lost against New Zealand. They have already lost the highly-anticipated Ashes series of 2021-2022. Questions about Joe Root’s captaincy are therefore not obvious.
Day 4 of Ashes Test #4 from Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), is underway. Australia holds a lead of 230+ runs in the second wicket. It is not looking very bright for England, even though Jack Leach (Mark Wood) and Jack Leach were able to take quick wickets during Day 4. England can easily lose this Test in Sydney due to their current form.
Australia holds a 3-0 advantage in the series. They have retained the series but would love to be dominant in the remaining Test matches.
