ABZO Motors Unveils Affordable Electric Motorcycle ‘ABZO VS01’

ABZO Motors, a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has introduced its first electric motorcycle, the ABZO VS01. The company held an official launch event in Ahmedabad to unveil this cutting-edge e-bike, which comes in a single variant and is priced between approximately Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 2.22 lakh.
The ABZO VS01 boasts a 72 V 70Ah Lithium-ion Battery, providing an impressive mileage of 180 km on a full charge. With its sleek and modern design, the e-bike features front and rear LED lights, 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires, a 1,473 mm wheelbase, a 158mm ground clearance, and a 700mm seat height. It offers three operating modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports, allowing for different speeds of 45 kmph, 65 kmph, and 85 kmph, respectively. The ABZO VS01 delivers a peak power of 6.3 KW and a maximum torque of 190 Nm.
Safety is a top priority for ABZO, as the e-bike comes equipped with CBS and Disc Brakes for both front and rear wheels. It features a front telescopic fork suspension and a dual shock absorber rear suspension, ensuring a comfortable ride on various terrains. The bike also includes Reverse Mode, Digital Cluster, and Regenerative Braking features. ABZO has incorporated fast charging and normal charging modes for the battery, with a full charge taking 6 hours and 35 minutes (under normal mode) and 3 hours and 20 minutes (under fast charging mode).
Kanchi Patel, co-founder of ABZO Motors, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce our first e-bike, the VS 01. Electric bikes represent the future of the automotive industry, and Gujarat is gradually becoming a hub for manufacturing electric vehicles, including both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Our home state of Gujarat offers a conducive environment, a comprehensive ecosystem for automobile manufacturing, and valuable insights for product development, testing, and launch.”
She added, “ABZO E-Bikes will be gradually rolled out across India through our dealer network. We aim to expand our presence in Gujarat and diversify our product line by introducing more offerings, including standard bikes.”
The ABZO VS01 has received certification from the Automobile Research Association of India (ARAI), attesting to its high-quality standards.
Established in 2019, ABZO Motors invested significantly in the research and development of this new product. The company’s manufacturing facility, located on Kadi-Thol Road in Rangpurda on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, spans 17,069 square meters. It features assembly lines and testing facilities for dyno tests, measuring the vehicle’s force, torque, and power.
ABZO Motors plans to start production with a capacity of 9,000 units in the first year, aiming for expansions to 15,000 units in the second year, 24,000 units in the third year, 40,000 units in the fourth year, and an impressive 60,000 units by the fifth year.
