Newzdaddy Movie Review
Notice: Keep your sensible and thoughtful brain at home when you go to theatres to watch this movie.
As the lights dimmed and the energetic soundtrack kicked in, “Danny Jigar” immediately set the tone for a rollercoaster of a ride through the crime-ridden streets of Gujarat. This Gujarati supercop film is released on January 5, 2024.
The film is a delightful fusion of action, comedy, and a bit of suspense, with its heart in the right place. The plot, while not entirely groundbreaking, serves as a perfect canvas for the charismatic performance of the lead actors, Yash Soni and Tarjanee Bhadla. Yash Soni embodies the role of Danny Jigar with exceptional charm.
The film’s humour is a standout feature, with witty one-liners and clever dialogues scattered throughout. Danny Jigar’s quick quips and lighthearted banter provide a refreshing break from the intensity of the crime-solving plot, creating a well-balanced cinematic experience.
I would like to add that “if you are a serious kind of a person, then you would not enjoy this movie. There is no story, there is only illogical comedy which will make you laugh. The one-liners and some comedy dialogues are exceptional.
Star Cast: Yash Soni, Tarjanee Bhadla, Jitendra Thakkar, Chetan Dhaiya, Prem Gadhvi
Writer & Director: KrishnaDev Yagnik
Producer: Nilay Chotai, Dipen Patel
Music: Kedar and Bhargav
Acting
The cast, beyond the charismatic lead, delivers commendable performances. The supporting characters add depth to the narrative, each contributing to the overall entertainment value. The chemistry between the characters, especially Danny Jigar and his team, adds a layer of camaraderie that enhances the viewing experience. Tarjanee is awesome in the role of Pu Jadi. She looks beautiful.
Direction
The director’s keen eye for detail is evident in the well-choreographed action scenes and the seamless integration of humour into the storyline. The pacing is spot-on, ensuring that the audience never loses interest as some or the other comedy dialogue appears and tickles you.
Plot and Script
It introduces us to the charismatic and stylish protagonist, Danny Jigar, who takes on the challenge of recovering a stolen 600-year-old statue with unmatched flair and quick-witted humour. Whether he is solving the case or not is a matter of understanding, you know how our films are. The hero will always win the battle in masala films, especially Gujarati films.
Themes and Messages
There is no such message you can take in from Danny Jigar. The film does not provide any education or information which can be useful in your life.
Negative Points (my personal opinion)
- Too much for the poor audience to sustain on their heads, (Hathodas).
- No story, we have been bombarded with these types of plots numerous times.
- Background music was a bit poor at some points.
- VFX was a little weak at some points and too much of VFX is used where it was not needed.
- Not sure whether sensible people will be able to digest the exercises of Danny Jigar lifting cars (Scorpio). This was too much for me.
- Some double-meaning comedy dialogues are there which may be awkward if you are watching with your family.
Positive points (my personal opinion)
- The direction of Krishnadev Yagnik was a strong point due to his name and his past records.
- Appreciate the producers for showing the courage and guts to give something new to the Gujarati audience.
- Very good production value of the movie.
- There is no nudity, violence or brutality in the film.
- Two songs which are enhancing the film and story.
Conclusion
In conclusion, “Danny Jigar” is a movie which you must watch for only and only entertainment. If you use your brain or logic, you will be disappointed. Just go and enjoy and forget when you come out of the theatre.
