Undaunted by the challenging sea conditions, a boarding team from the Indian Coast Guard, including medical specialists, boarded the merchant ship. The crew, all of Indonesian nationality, faced health issues such as high fever and stomachache. The skilled Medical Team swiftly stabilized the crew member, after which the patient was carefully transferred to the Indian Coast Guard ship.
The Indian Coast Guard ship is now en route to Veraval, where the patient will receive further medical treatment. This successful and professional evacuation stands as another testament to the Indian Coast Guard’s commitment to their motto, “We Protect.”
