Ranbir Kapoor fans, the action-packed drama ‘Animal’ is gearing up for its Netflix premiere worldwide on January 26. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film, which initially hit theaters on December 1, 2023, made waves by crossing the Rs 550 crore net mark in India and an impressive Rs 900 crore globally, securing its position as one of the top-grossing films of 2023.
Contrary to earlier speculations, a source close to the project has debunked reports of an extended runtime for the OTT release. There are no additional scenes added in the film; the duration of the film remains the same as the theatrical release, which is 3 hours, 23 minutes, and 29 seconds.”

Despite its cinematic success, ‘Animal’ faced a legal roadblock as Cine 1 Studios, the co-producer, sought to halt its digital and satellite release, prompting the Delhi High Court to summon Netflix India. The source confirmed that the legal matter has been resolved, stating, “The case is settled, and there are no issues now; the film will be released on the given date on Netflix.”
