On Saturday, Qatar revealed Stadium 974, the newest venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will host its inaugural match when the UAE and Syria face off in the Arab Cup’s opening match.
The arena, formerly known as Ras Abu Aboud, is composed mostly of shipping containers and is located near Doha Port, and opposite the stunning West Bay skyline, according to Qatar 2022. This is the first entirely demountable stadium in FIFA World Cup history, thanks to its revolutionary design.
