Early Life and Career Beginnings

Born in the vibrant city of Chennai, ADG Suresh embarked on his journey with the Indian Coast Guard on January 19, 1987. From the outset, his dedication and passion for service set him apart, propelling him through the ranks with remarkable agility.

Command of the Western Seaboard

Elevated to the prestigious rank of Additional Director General, ADG Suresh assumed command of the Western Seaboard on September 13, 2022. Over 19 months at the helm, his leadership prowess was instrumental in safeguarding the coastline and ensuring the safety of countless lives.

Operational Achievements

Under his command, the Western Seaboard achieved remarkable success in maritime operations. From saving 184 lives to conducting 26 medical evacuations, ADG Suresh’s strategic insight and operational expertise were pivotal in every endeavor.

Combatting Illegal Activities

In the relentless battle against narcotics and smuggling, the Western Seaboard emerged victorious under ADG Suresh’s guidance. Seizing narcotics worth Rs. 1,700 crore and intercepting illegal diesel and tobacco products, his team’s relentless efforts thwarted criminal activities along the coast.
