The Key Players and Motivations Driving RRU’s Drone Initiative

RRU has signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with M/S Brane Services Pvt Ltd to establish a state-of-the-art Drone Robotics Centre (DRC) on its campus. Inspiration from a Military Leader
The collaboration between RRU and Brane Services is driven by the development of Rooster Drone technology. This innovative project was inspired by former Army Chief General MM Naravane’s visit to RRU in April 2022. Following his visit, RRU and Brane Services dedicated themselves to developing and refining this cutting-edge drone technology. The first prototype, handed over to the Indian Army’s Northern Command in November 2023, underwent extensive trials, resulting in significant improvements and advancements.
Focus Areas of the Drone Robotics Centre
The DRC will concentrate on three primary pillars of research and development, each crucial for addressing contemporary security challenges:
1. Rooster Drone Technology
The Rooster Drone Technology involves advanced autonomous drones equipped with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms.
