Mr. and Ms. Fresher’s titles make the night unforgettable for these stars of tomorrow

At the center of Ahmedabad’s student community on September 21, 2024, there was a big event called the Fresher’s Party, which was put on by the Swarrnim School of Computing and IT (SSCIT) and Swarnim Institute of Technology (SIT). The event brought together students from the new batches of MCA, BCA, B.Sc.-IT, and several engineering fields. It was held at the vibrant and busy Himalaya Mall. For the freshmen, it marked the beginning of a new academic adventure, and the event was the ideal combination of fun, entertainment, and friendship.

The Venue: Himalaya Mall

One of Ahmedabad’s trendiest locations, Himalaya Mall, was the ideal setting for this spectacular event. Renowned for its energetic atmosphere and colorful throng, it was the perfect location for such a happy occasion. Due to its convenient location, the mall was easily accessible to all attendees, and its big layout gave students plenty of space to have fun.

The mood was electric with expectation and excitement as the evening wore on. There was a noticeable buzz among the students from both departments who had congregated. The lively décor and lively music created an energetic atmosphere that was immediately apparent as soon as one walked into the venue.

A Warm Welcome for the Freshers

Greetings to the new students joining SIT and SSCIT were the primary goal of the Fresher’s Party. These kinds of gatherings are generally thrown by the seniors to help the newcomers settle in and get a taste of school life. As an icebreaker, the party helped the incoming students meet people, form friendships, and integrate into the community.

Since it was their first significant campus event, many first-year students voiced their excitement. Being here and getting to know everyone is fantastic. A fresher expressed her happiness, saying, “The party has an amazing vibe and the seniors are very welcoming.”

Music and Food: The Heart of the Party

Without food and music, a party isn’t complete, and this Fresher’s Party featured plenty of both. From international chart-toppers to Bollywood songs, the organizers made sure that the music selection appealed to a broad spectrum of musical preferences. Pupils could be seen dancing to upbeat music, creating an environment brimming with enthusiasm. Students embraced the night’s rhythm, filling the dance floor every time, making it an unforgettable evening for everybody.

A delectable spread of food was prepared on the culinary front. An additional level of enjoyment was provided to the gathering by the assortment of delectable dishes. The menu included delicious sweets and well-known street cuisine, so there was something for everyone. No one was left unsatisfied thanks to the wonderful food and music combination.

The Highlight: Mr. and Ms. Fresher Titles

The Mr. and Ms. Fresher titles were one of the night’s most eagerly awaited announcements. By competing for the esteemed title, this tradition enables the incoming students to display their abilities, personalities, and self-assurance. There was a lot of competition among the freshmen as they competed in different rounds of activities, such as dancing and answering complex questions from the judges.

Ultimately, four pupils took first place and were awarded the coveted titles. Dhyan Patel won the title of Mr. Fresher from the Swarnim Institute of Technology, while Jayshree Prajapati won the title of Ms. Fresher. However, Bhavesh Kunvar, who represented the Swarrnim School of Computing and IT, was named Mr. Fresher, while Henshi Motivaras, who represented the same school, was named Ms. Fresher. They impressed the judges and audience with their charm, wit, and grace.

Following the ceremony, each winner expressed their excitement. “I’m overjoyed to have won the title of Mr. Fresher,” Dhyan Patel declared. This is a fantastic way for me to begin my experience here. Jayshree Prajapati also conveyed her joy by saying, “This title means a lot to me.” I feel that my classmates and seniors accept and value me.

Building Bonds: Freshers and Seniors Unite

The friendship that develops between the seniors and juniors is an essential component of any Fresher’s Party. This occasion was no exception. To make the new students feel comfortable, the seniors went above and above. With engaging discussions, engaging games, and hands-on activities, the newcomers soon gained comfort and confidence. The seniors also gave the new students insightful information on the academic and social lives ahead of them by sharing their experiences and advice on how to succeed in college.

This senior-freshman contact made the adjustment from high school to college life easier for the newcomers. “I felt a lot more confident today than I did when I first started college. Another fresher expressed what many others have felt when they said, “The seniors have been so kind and approachable.”

A Night to Remember

The Swarnim Institute of Technology and Swarrnim School of Computing and IT Fresher’s Party was a huge success overall.
