Australia defeated England by an impressive 146 runs in the fifth match of the Ashes series. Australia won the Ashes series, 4-0.
After their historic win in the series, the Australian team was enthusiastic and shared the video on social media. The gesture of captain Pat Cummins is winning the hearts of fans.
Instead, Usman Khawaja walked away from the podium as the Australian team was about to have a champagne party. Pat Cummins, who had shown respect for Usman Khawaja, stopped the champagne celebration at mid-way and called him up onto the podium. Let’s just say that Usman Khawaja made a return to the Australian team, after three years. Usman Khawaja scored a century during both innings in the fourth Test in Sydney.
While the Australians were celebrating after their fifth Test win in Hobart five years ago, Usman Khawaja didn’t attend. Cummins didn’t see Khawaja and felt it was because of champagne. He asked players to stop celebrating with champagne and called Khawaja onto the podium.
Cummins’ first series as a Captain was this one, and he was very successful. He was also an excellent bowler. He was Australia’s best bowler. He was the highest wicket-taker for Australia in the series, taking 21.
