A comprehensive health camp was held at the Aarihant Homoeopathic Hospital on January 16, 2025, by the Aarihant Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute. To raise awareness of health issues and offer vital medical services to the community, this event was organized in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society and the Gandhinagar Lions Club.
A blood drive, thalassemia screening, eye exams, general health examinations, and orthopedic consultations were among the services offered at the health camp. Since these treatments were provided without charge, many people who might not have otherwise been able to afford healthcare now have access to it.
The blood drive, which was arranged in collaboration with the Lions Club, was one of the event’s main attractions. 47 units of blood were successfully collected from kind donors throughout the drive, supporting the vital cause of ensuring there is a sufficient supply of blood available for those in need. In addition, more than 100 people seized the chance to have their hemoglobin levels checked, which is a crucial step in identifying anaemia.
104 people benefited from the Indian Red Cross Society’s crucial contribution to the thalassemia screening. Effective management of thalassemia, a genetic blood illness, depends on early discovery, and this program gave individuals at risk crucial support.
Another area of attention was eye health, and 208 people received free eye exams from Dr. Urvish Parekh. 36 persons received free eyeglasses as a result of this campaign, which had a particularly positive influence on their quality of life and vision.
General health examinations were provided, including vital health indicators like blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index (BMI). 150 individuals in all used these services, gaining insightful knowledge about their general health. The thoroughness of these examinations demonstrated the camp’s dedication to providing holistic medical treatment.
During the program, extra emphasis was paid to orthopedic health, which is frequently disregarded. 130 people received professional orthopedic consultations from Dr. Chatur Patel regarding problems with the bones, joints, and muscles. Those with chronic pain or injuries benefited greatly from this service, which provided them with much-needed relief and direction.
