Synopsis of the Article

Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), one of India’s leading energy transition companies, continues to drive sustainable growth by expanding its operations across the country. In its recently announced Q3 and 9-month FY25 results, the company reported impressive numbers across its infrastructure and financial metrics, showcasing its commitment to a greener and customer-centric future.

ATGL achieved significant milestones in its CNG and PNG networks this quarter. The company expanded its CNG network to 605 stations, adding 28 new outlets in Q3FY25. This growth contributed to a 19% year-on-year increase in CNG volume, which reached 171 MMSCM.

The PNG network also saw remarkable progress, with over 28,600 new households connected in Q3FY25. This pushed the total number of PNG-connected homes to 9.22 lakh, enhancing convenience for more Indian families. Additionally, 167 new industrial and commercial consumers were added, bringing the total connections in this segment to 8,913.

In the push toward clean energy, ATGL made strides in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The company has commissioned 1,914 EV charging points across 226 cities in 22 states and 4 union territories. Notably, 20 major airports now feature ATGL’s EV charge points.

To support heavy transport, ATGL inaugurated its first LNG station in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. This move is aimed at facilitating long-haul trucks and buses, with plans to establish more LNG stations soon.

Despite challenges in natural gas allocation, ATGL delivered robust financial results. Revenue from operations increased by 12% year-on-year in Q3FY25, reaching INR 1,397 Cr. For the 9-month FY25 period, revenue grew by 11%, reaching INR 3,950 Cr.

Profit After Tax (PAT) for Q3FY25 stood at INR 143 Cr, slightly lower due to increased costs from sourcing natural gas at higher prices. The company ensured uninterrupted CNG supply despite the reduced allocation of APM gas, bridging the gap through alternative sourcing methods like spot procurement and new well-gas pricing mechanisms.

ATGL continues to focus on sustainability and innovation. Its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) score improved to 62, placing it in the top 80th percentile among 143 global companies. The company has also installed rainwater harvesting systems at 25 sites.

Adani Total Gas is actively working toward creating a sustainable ecosystem by producing compressed biogas (CBG) at its Barsana plant. The plant also aims to promote the use of fermented organic manure to support agricultural needs.

To enhance customer experience, ATGL has introduced a doorstep service program. This initiative aims to provide a seamless and delightful experience to its customers.

ATGL’s efforts in the corporate social responsibility (CSR) space were recognized with the Humanity Hero Award from Yuva Unstoppable. This accolade highlights the company’s commitment to giving back to society.

Adani Total Gas is set to continue its momentum in expanding its infrastructure and services. With increased APM allocation for natural gas starting January 2025, the company expects better profitability in the next quarter. By focusing on clean energy solutions, innovation, and sustainability, ATGL is playing a crucial role in transforming India’s energy landscape.
