Synopsis of the Article

The Adani Group, known for its contribution to India’s economic growth, is now taking a major step towards building a highly skilled workforce. In a groundbreaking move, the company has announced the launch of India’s largest ‘Skill and Employ’ program, aiming to train thousands of young Indians and make them industry-ready.

This ambitious initiative is being carried out in collaboration with ITE Education Services (ITEES) of Singapore, a globally recognized leader in vocational and technical education. The goal is to equip young professionals with practical skills that match international industry standards, ensuring they are ready to contribute to India’s rapidly growing sectors like Green Energy, Manufacturing, Hi-tech, Project Excellence, and Industrial Design.

To bring this vision to life, the Adani family has pledged INR 2,000 Cr to establish world-class skill academies. These institutions will be modeled after the best global standards and will focus on training students from technical and vocational education backgrounds.

The first of these academies, known as the Adani Global Skills Academy, will be set up in Mundra, Gujarat. This facility will serve as the world’s largest finishing school for technical training, skilling 25,000 students annually. These students will come from backgrounds such as Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnics, and other vocational courses.

After completing their training, students will be offered employment opportunities within the Adani Group and other industries that align with their field of expertise. This ensures that every graduate is not only skilled but also employed, making this program one of the most impactful skill development initiatives in India.

To make learning engaging, practical, and effective, the Adani Global Skills Academy will offer an immersive training experience. The academy will feature:
✔ AI-based simulators to provide hands-on training in real-world scenarios.
✔ Innovation centers that encourage creative problem-solving.
✔ Mixed reality learning environments, where students can practice skills in a highly interactive setting.
✔ A fully residential campus, ensuring continuous learning and mentorship for both students and faculty.

These modern facilities will ensure that students graduate with practical, globally competitive skills, making them ready to contribute to India’s economy from day one.

To ensure world-class education standards, Adani Group has partnered with ITEES Singapore. This organization is known for its high-quality vocational training programs, and it will play a crucial role in shaping the curriculum, training modules, and certification process for the Adani Global Skills Academy.

According to Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills & Education, this initiative will be a major boost to the Make in India movement by providing the necessary workforce to industries across sectors.

Suresh Natarajan, CEO of ITEES Singapore, also expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing that it will bring global expertise to India’s skill development landscape and create lasting impacts on education and employment.

This initiative is not just about skilling people; it’s about building a stronger, self-reliant India. By creating a direct bridge between education and employment, the Adani Global Skills Academy will:
🔹 Help young Indians secure stable, high-paying jobs.
🔹 Support industries with a steady flow of well-trained professionals.
🔹 Contribute to the nation’s economic growth by strengthening its workforce.

With such a bold vision and a strong execution plan, this program is set to become a game-changer for India’s vocational education system.
