The festival lineup spans diverse cultures and traditions, connecting audiences through the universal language of emotion. The carefully curated selection of films is designed to captivate both the young and the young at heart.

Dates and Venue:

AICFF 2023 is scheduled to take place from December 8 to 10 at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). The central theme of the festival revolves around movies that explore the intricacies of childhood, portraying the joys, challenges, and unique perspectives that make this subject compelling for audiences of all ages.

Celebrating Children on Screen:

The festival aims to shed light on the idiosyncrasies, emotions, challenges, thrills, mindset, and perceptions of children. By doing so, it creates a space for reflection and discussion, encouraging viewers to explore the world through the lens of a child. This thematic focus not only entertains but also fosters an understanding of the universal experiences that connect us all.

Diverse Panel Discussions and Masterclass:

AICFF 2023 will kick off with engaging panel discussions featuring prominent figures from the world of cinema. Among the distinguished guests are Pavan Malhotra (known for Nukkad, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro, OMG 2), Master Manjunath (Malgudi Days), Shiladitya Bora (associated with Newton, Masaan), Ajitpal Singh (director of Tabbar), Vishesh Agrawal (Executive Producer of Dangal, Gangs of Wasseypur), and Abhishek Jain (director of Kevi Rite Jaish, Bey Yaar, Wrong Side Raju).

Additionally, film enthusiasts can look forward to a masterclass on filmmaking conducted by Dr. Pankaj Roy on December 9 and 10. Chetan Chauhan emphasizes the festival’s core mission, stating that the idea behind hosting a children’s film festival is to raise awareness and inspire the creation of more children’s films in India.

Inclusive and Educational:

Open to all, AICFF 2023 aims to be not just a cinematic spectacle but also a platform for learning and appreciation. The festival organizers believe that exposing audiences to diverse cinematic perspectives at a young age can have a positive impact on the creation and reception of films in the country.

As Ahmedabad becomes the hub of cinematic exploration for children and families, AICFF 2023 promises to leave a lasting impact, fostering a love for storytelling and filmmaking among future generations.
