CBRND Defence Research Circle Introduces Protection Products for Everyday Use

With the world facing increasing threats from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear disasters (CBRND), city-based CBRND Defence Research Circle has taken a major step toward making such protection accessible to all. After the success of their specialized bunkers for government and individual use, the CBRND has now launched a range of innovative products tailored for homes, offices, and vehicles.

Addressing Global Safety Challenges

In an age marked by pandemics like COVID-19, industrial disasters, and wars, the need for effective CBRND protection has never been greater. The Circle’s chairman and senior scientist, Dr Ragesh M Shah, highlighted the organization’s commitment to safeguarding lives and assets with advanced technology. These protection systems are designed for widespread applications, including homes, offices, the hospitality industry, and public transport systems such as buses and aircraft.

Over Three Decades of Excellence

The CBRND Defence Research Circle, a division of the Online Telemedicine Research Institute (OTRI) and part of the Somchand Dosabhai Charitable Trust, boasts over 30 years of expertise in the field. Speaking to this correspondent, Shah noted, “We provide cutting-edge protection products to over 200 countries, including Singapore and Malaysia, adhering to global standards.” Their systems are used in vehicles, ships, shelters, and buildings to ensure safety in various environments.

New Products for Homes and Offices

The Circle’s latest offering includes CBRND systems for everyday spaces like homes and offices. Shah explained, “Our goal is to make these life-saving technologies accessible at a micro level.” These systems can even be rented, making them viable for both temporary and long-term safety solutions. A major corporate firm in Ahmedabad has already shown interest in adopting these systems for its operations.

Commitment to ‘Make in India’

Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat’, all products are manufactured locally in Gujarat. Shah emphasized, “Our products are made in India but cater to global standards, with 20% reserved for domestic use and the rest for export.” This dual focus supports both national safety and international demand.

Unmatched Quality and Durability

The Circle’s motto, “No compromise on quality,” is evident in its rigorous testing and military-grade filtration systems. Shah elaborated, “Our products provide comprehensive protection against CBRND threats, using high-efficiency particulate air filters to combat chemical agents, bacteria, viruses, and nuclear fallout.” Each system is designed for durability and reliable operation.

Growing Demand Worldwide

The organization has been overwhelmed with demand, with orders booked until 2025 and new requests being scheduled for 2026. These systems, priced at Rs. 15,000 per square foot, represent a long-term investment in health and safety.

Demonstrations and Awareness

To help clients better understand their products, the Circle has established a live demonstration facility in Ahmedabad. Shah encouraged interested individuals to schedule visits, saying, “This gives potential customers a hands-on experience of how our systems work.”

Role in High-Profile Events

The Circle’s systems were recently deployed during the G20 meetings in India, offering protection at event venues and hotels hosting VVIPs. Notably, these systems were first used in Ahmedabad during former US President Donald Trump’s visit to the city.

A Global Footprint

To cater to international clients, the Circle has set up headquarters in the USA. This move underscores their commitment to expanding their global presence while ensuring top-notch service and delivery standards.

With a focus on innovation, quality, and accessibility, the CBRND Defence Research Circle is redefining how safety is ensured in an increasingly volatile world.
