While few of us have seen inside photos of the lavish mansion, the actor delighted us with a glimpse of his home’s beautiful temple.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan live in their massive bungalow, Jalsa, with their family, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Aaradhya Bachchan. Every evening, the gates of Jalsa are flung open to allow Big B’s fans to see him. Amitabh Bachchan has been greeting fans from all over the world from the makeshift podium at the Jalsa gate for more than three decades, and the sight is truly delightful.
Amitabh Bachchan posted a blog on his official handle on August 17, 2022, showing off the lavish temple at his home, Jalsa. The actor can be seen in the photograph wearing a white kurta-pajama and praying to the Almighty. He finished off his ensemble with a multicolored shawl and a half jacket. The temple was beautifully decorated with flowers and garlands, and a deity idol was placed in the center. An excerpt from his blog is as follows:
“The temple at the bottom of the house and my prayers for everyone… It’s almost 4 a.m…. and I’m hoping someone is awake somewhere reading this.”
Amitabh Bachchan posted a picture from the set of his film, Chupke Chupke, with his wife, Jaya Bachchan, on his Instagram handle on April 11, 2021. Young Amitabh and Jaya can be seen standing outside a house talking in the photograph. Along with it, Big B had written a note in the caption and shared the story of how they came to buy their dream house, Jalsa.
“Chupke Chupke,” our film by Hrishikesh MUKERJI, is coming to an end after 46 years. This is Producer NC Sippy’s house. We bought it, then sold it, then bought it back again. We rebuilt it. This is our home now, JALSA. Anand, NamakHaram, Chupke Chupke, Satte pe Satta, and many other films were shot here.”
Did you know that Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s son, Abhishek Bachchan, married former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai, who has a connection to Jalsa? Abhishek and Aishwarya married on April 20, 2007, at the former’s house, Prateeksha, but few know that his baraat had flagged off from Jalsa. We can still see Abhishek driving towards Prateeksha with his family and friends dancing in his baraat to bring his bride home.
