The legendary Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan, has given his special house, Prateeksha, to his daughter Shweta Bachchan. This generous gift was formalized on November 8, with a stamp duty payment of ₹50.65 lakh. Prateeksha, a part of the Vithal Nagar Cooperative Housing Society Ltd, is a significant property, covering two plots totaling 890.47 sq m and 674 sq m. Its estimated value is ₹50 crore, and it’s just a kilometer away from Amitabh’s own home, Jalsa.
Prateeksha: A Home with Heart
Prateeksha holds a lot of feelings for Amitabh Bachchan as it was the very first house he bought. Initially shared with his parents, the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan, the house got its name from the poet himself. During Season 14 of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Amitabh shared a touching detail about Prateeksha, mentioning that the name was chosen by his father. He even quoted a line from his dad’s poem, suggesting that the home wasn’t waiting for everyone but for someone special.
