New Beginning for World Test Championship
Nearly after one month, Team India will be visible on the cricket ground. The fans of Team India are eager to see their cricket stars performing on the ground, especially Virat and Rohit.
Team India will be taking on West Indies in West Indies. As we all know currently, West Indies is not playing good cricket, and they are not able to qualify for this year’s ICC World Cup.
West Indies is right now going through a very rough patch and let’s hope that the West Indies team get some sort of form from this series.
This series is going to be the new start of the World Test Championship. India went into the finals both times but unfortunately could not win both times. Indian fans must be hoping that Team India makes a good start from here and again reach the final of WRC after two years.
The BCCI have already announced the squad for T20 and ODI series which is going to be played in West Indies.
Chance is given to New Commers
India has already made a few changes, the Indian selectors have dropped players like Pujara and have selected youngsters like Yashashvi Jaiswal and Rituraj Gaikwad.
Selectors have also given rest to Mohammad Shami and have dropped Umesh Yadav and given a chance to Mukesh Kumar.
It will be interesting to see who gets the chance in playing 11 in these two test matches.
Who Will Win The Test Series?
Comparing both the teams definitely, India will start as favourites looking at the current form of Indian players and the batting unit we have with the likes of Virat, Rohit, Rahane, and Shubhman Gill. The bowling units are also excellent as we have two great spinners in the form of R. Ashwin and Jadeja. However, there is little doubt about the pacers as the leading pacer will be Mohammad Siraj. There is a lack of experienced pacers in this current Indian Team. If Siraj and company can manage to take early wickets then it will be a great joy to Indian fans.
As far as winning the series is concerned, it is my personal opinion that Team India will win the series 2-0. Though West Indies are very good on the home surface team.
There is no doubt that West Indian players will show their anger and frustration of not being able to qualify for the ICC World Cup 2023 and they will give a tough fight to team India.
India just needs to play up to their potential and that will help them to win the series 2-0.
