Apple revealed on Wednesday (February 2) that the long-awaited third generation of iPhone SE handsets will be released on March 8, 2022. The new low-cost smartphone line will supplant Apple’s second-generation iPhone SE, which is powered by the A13 Bionic processor.

During the launch event, Apple is expected to unveil a few new devices in addition to the third-generation iPhone SE. A low-cost iPad Air could be among the items on the list.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, revealed the launch date on Twitter. He stated in the description of a tweet that included a video of the iconic Apple logo in focus, “Peak performance.”

The A15 Bionic chipset is projected to be used in Apple’s iPhone SE 3rd generation. Buyers are hoping for a 5G-enabled smartphone, similar to the Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.

Meanwhile, according to a fresh source, the iPhone SE 2022 could be released with a starting price of $300. According to the report, Loop Capital Markets analyst John Donovan stated that he had heard speculations that the smartphone would be priced at $300. If the report isn’t accurate, the phone’s Indian price might be around Rs 23,000 (approximately).

According to reports, the iPhone SE could have a 3GB memory, while the iPhone SE in 2023 will have more major modifications, such as a larger display and a 4GB memory variation.

Apple is working on a new 4.7-inch iPhone SE with 5G connectivity that will be released in 2022, according to display analyst Ross Young. According to Young, the smartphone would be followed by a replacement iPhone SE model with a 5.7- to 6.1-inch LCD display in 2024.
