“Arrest the producers, sellers, and not simply the addicts,” Luv Sinha urges as Siddhanth Kapoor is apprehended in a narcotics case.
On Sunday night, Siddhanth Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor’s son, was detained during a police raid at a rave party at a Bengaluru hotel. Bengaluru police acknowledged that he was one among the six people who had reportedly ingested narcotics. He was arrested and transported to the Ulsoor Police Station for further investigation.
“I won’t comment on #SiddhanthKapoor but I would like to know if our respected officials are as efficient as they would like us to believe then how is drug use rampant amongst the elite, the underprivileged, the youth, and so easy to buy,” Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha tweeted in response to the controversy.
He went on to demand that individuals involved in the distribution of prohibited narcotics to minors be arrested. “Selectively promoting an individual’s arrest appears to be an effort to prove that they are doing their job, rather than actually doing it,” Luv tweeted. I’m against drug use, but things won’t get better until the criminal system is fixed. Arrest the makers, sellers, and not just the users who may become addicted to a substance that has a negative influence on their lives and indirectly has a harmful impact on so many others. I hope my friend Siddhant emerges stronger and wiser from this.”
On Sunday, Bengaluru police raided a hotel on MG Road where the alleged party was held after receiving a tip. The cops are seeking to figure out if Siddhanth Kapoor took drugs at the hotel or if he went to the party after taking narcotics somewhere else. “I can only say one thing – it’s not conceivable,” Siddhant’s father Shakti Kapoor told ETimes when contacted by times. On Sunday, Siddhanth flew to Bengaluru, apparently for a DJ event, and inside footage of the trip has surfaced on the internet.
