Battle Between two Royals
Former India coach Ravi Shastri believes the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Qualifier 2 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be a competitive match.
RCB has failed to win the IPL crown on multiple occasions, while RR has yet to repeat their victory from the first season in 2008.
“It’s been 14 years since RCB last won a title (they’ve never won it) and 13 years since Rajasthan last won one in the initial season. So it’s been 27 years between the two of them (laughs). Royal Challengers Bangalore batted first. An unbeaten century by Rajat Patidar (112*) helped them to reach a mammoth 207/4 in 20 overs against IPL debutants Lucknow Super Giants. LSG who managed to aggregate 193/6 in 20 overs just failed to cross the finish line and was knocked out of the tournament.
