‘Bhool Bhualaiyaa 2’, starring Kartik Aaryan, has finally become a blockbuster. The film, which has ruled the box office since its May 20 release, has now surpassed the 175 crore milestone, establishing itself as a genuine blockbuster.
In the aftermath of the pandemic, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ provided a welcome break for Bollywood. Previously, all Bollywood films have underperformed at the box office, due to stiff competition from pan-India films such as ‘RRR’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Within two weeks of its release, Kartik Aaryan’s film became one of the year’s greatest openers, grossing more than 100 crores.
Taran Adarsh, a film critic and trade analyst, posted the full box office haul for the horror comic thriller and commented, “[Wed, Day 27] #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 crosses 175 crore… Is now a BLOCKBUSTER certified… [Week four] Mon 1.30 cr, Tue 1.29 cr, Wed 1.26 cr, Sat 3.01 cr, Sun 3.45 cr, Fri 1.56 cr, Sat 3.01 cr, Sun 3.45 cr, Mon 1.30 cr, Tue 1.29 cr, Wed 1.26 cr 175.02 crores in total Business in India.”
