In a thoughtful move to promote better mental health, Chiripal Group, a well-known business group based in Ahmedabad, has tied up with GIPS Hospital (Gujarat Institute of Psychological Sciences) to offer mental health counselling to its employees. This step shows the company’s strong focus on taking care of its people—not just in terms of work, but also their emotional and mental well-being.
Chiripal Group, which works in several sectors including textiles and solar energy, will roll out this initiative across all its offices. Employees at locations such as Bopal and Shivranjani will now have access to expert counselling right at the workplace, thanks to this collaboration.
The mental health services will be provided by the Aayaas Counselling Centre, a part of GIPS Hospital. Starting from April 24, trained psychologists will visit Chiripal’s offices once every month. Employees will be able to book private sessions in advance, allowing them to speak with professionals in a confidential and comfortable setting, without having to leave the office or disturb their workday.
This new partnership will help employees manage common mental health issues like stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional strain, which are all too common in today’s fast-moving lifestyle. With work pressures and personal challenges often building up silently, the company hopes to create a safe space where people can open up and seek help without hesitation.
Sharing his views on the initiative, Ronak Chiripal, Promoter of Chiripal Group, said, “We always say that our people are our biggest strength. Their well-being matters. It’s time mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. We want our employees to feel supported, not just professionally, but personally too. This collaboration is a big step in that direction.”
Ronak also said that this is not a one-time activity. “As we grow as a company, we also want our team to grow emotionally strong and healthy. This programme is part of a bigger plan to make sure our people feel happy, balanced, and ready for anything life throws their way.”
Along with personal counselling, Chiripal Group will also organise group workshops, awareness sessions, and mental health training. These will help employees understand the importance of mental wellness, recognise early warning signs, and learn simple coping skills. Whether it’s someone in management or front-line staff, the programme is designed to be useful for everyone at all levels.
Heading the sessions from Aayaas Counselling Centre will be Ms. Nishi Shah, a Clinical Psychologist, and Ms. Aditi Bhansali, a Counselling Psychologist. With their experience and warm approach, they aim to make mental health conversations easier and less scary for employees.
Dr. Punita Grover, Partner at GIPS Psychiatric Hospital, added, “It’s encouraging to see a corporation like Chiripal take mental health seriously. Bringing professional counselling to the workplace breaks barriers and encourages more people to seek help. We are committed to giving each person the support they need.”
The move is especially timely, as the world continues to face the after-effects of the pandemic. Anxiety, loneliness, and burnout have become more visible than ever before. Chiripal Group’s initiative could well set a positive example for other Indian companies to follow.
With this collaboration, the Chiripal Group hopes not just to reduce stress but also to increase employee happiness, focus, and productivity—because when people feel better, they work better too.
