Cristiano Ronaldo sets a new world record becoming the first footballer to score 800 goals. Most of these goals are scored for his ex-club Real Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, the undisputed king of international football records, has now set a new one in his name. On Thursday, he scored two goals against Arsenal that made him the first footballer in the world to score 800 goals. He now has 801 goals on the season. Manchester United defeated Arsenal 3-2 at the same time.
After halftime, Ronaldo scored his first goal in the 10th minute. He had now reached his 800th goal.
In the 70th minute of the game, he scored his second goal via penalty kick. He now has 801 goals to his credit.

Ronaldo scored 130 goals in 801 games for Manchester United throughout two periods. For Sporting Lisbon has scored 5 goals. For Real Madrid, he has scored 450 goals, and for Juventus has scored 101 goals. For his country Portugal, he has scored 115 goals at the international level.
At the international level, he is the top goal scorer.
Ronaldo also holds the record for the most goals scored at the international level. Ali Dei of Iran held the previous record of 109 goals, which he just broke. Currently, no other footballer has even reached the century mark. Sunil Chhetri and Lionel Messi are two active players who are 80 goals behind Ronaldo.
