On Monday, Day 2 of the ongoing first Test between India and South Africa at the SuperSport Park in Centurion was canceled due to severe rain.

The start of play was delayed due to persistent rain, and day two was eventually called off without a ball being bowled.

“Unfortunately, the play has been called off for the day due to the high volume of rain today at Centurion,” BCCI tweeted.

Virat Kohli’s team dominated Day 1 of the current first Test against the Proteas at SuperSport Park, with the visitors’ score at stumps reading 272/3.

KL Rahul (122*) and Ajinkya Rahane (40*) are both unbeaten at the crease, and India will be aiming for a big performance from their batters on Day 2.

Mayank Agarwal scored 60 runs and contributed to a 117-run opening stand with KL Rahul. Kohli, the skipper, was also looking terrific. He was at the crease, but after a 35-run effort, he gave up his wicket to Lungi Ngidi. Kohli was also looking excellent at the crease, but after a 35-run knock, he lost up his wicket to Lungi Ngidi.

“It’s genuinely unique; every hundred takes something away from you while still bringing you joy.” When you achieve a hundred, you experience a wide range of feelings. When you bat for 6-7 hours, those are the kinds of innings that stick out, and we value them as players. This is exactly what is expected of me. “I started enjoying my batting once I got off to a strong start and didn’t think too far ahead,” Rahul told BCCI.TV.

“The preparation was excellent, and all of the batters that batted on Day 1 were really focused.” When I’m out, I just try to stay in the moment.

When I’m out in the middle, I just try to stay in the moment. My focus has always been to be in the moment and respond to the ball that is bowled, and I’ve surprised myself with how calm I’ve been. “I’m glad I was able to end the day on a positive note,” Rahul added.
