The actor, producer, and philanthropist flew to Dubai to accept her prize at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
Deepika Padukone, Bollywood’s No. 1 actress, was honoured with the TIME100 Impact Award last night, which honours leaders who have worked tirelessly to change the future of their industry and the world at large.
Deepika Padukone, whose recognition was dual-pronged, for films and mental health activism, joined this group of leaders, which included scientists and CEOs, artists and activists, pop stars and politicians.

Deepika’s second appearance at the Time 100 Awards. “A couple of years, a lot more work, and a little more confidence,” Deepika said when asked what’s different this time around.
Deepika Padukone has given some of the best performances in Indian cinema over the years, with many of her films receiving critical praise and being among the industry’s highest-grossing blockbusters. She founded the LiveLoveLaugh Foundation in 2015, which aims to de-stigmatize mental illness and raise awareness.
When the icon considers success, she only considers one thing: “living a life as honestly and genuinely as possible.”
