Recently, the institute orchestrated an enriching academic visit for its students to the Government Ayurveda Hospital and Panchakarma Centre in Kadi. In a bid to offer students a firsthand experience of traditional Ayurvedic practices, Aarihant College meticulously planned an academic tour of the esteemed Government Ayurveda Hospital and Panchakarma Centre in Kadi. This initiative aimed to broaden students’ horizons, deepen their understanding of Ayurveda, and foster a deeper connection to the ancient healing traditions.
A Glimpse into Ancient Healing: Aarihant’s Academic Expedition
Led by Dr. Sonali Ladhi, Professor and Head of the Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, along with Dr. Tejal Ganvit, Assistant Professor, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, the visit was meticulously organized for 99 eager students from the institute. As the students embarked on this educational voyage, they were poised to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Ayurvedic wisdom and practice.

The event served as an integral part of the academic curriculum, particularly tailored for second-year BAMS students. Divided into four groups, students were warmly welcomed by the medical officer of the Swasthavritta and Yoga department at the Government Ayurveda Hospital and Panchakarma Centre in Kadi. From the outset, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation as students prepared to delve into the intricacies of Ayurvedic healthcare.
Learning Opportunities
During the visit, students were afforded invaluable learning opportunities as they toured the various facilities of the hospital and Panchakarma Center. From exploring the hospital infrastructure to witnessing the functioning of the Outpatient Department (OPD) and Inpatient Department (IPD), students gained firsthand insights into the operational dynamics of Ayurvedic healthcare delivery.
Hands-On Experience
One of the highlights of the visit was the immersive experience at the Panchakarma Section, where students observed traditional Ayurvedic therapies and treatments in action. Additionally, students had the chance to visit the Ayurvedic Dispensary and learn about the diverse range of herbal remedies and medicines prescribed in Ayurveda. Through these hands-on experiences, students gained a deeper appreciation for the holistic approach to health and wellness advocated by Ayurveda.
