For Fellow Members of Parliament, Jaya Bachchan hosts an exclusive screening of Son Abhishek’s film “Dasvi.”

For her colleagues Members of Parliament, politician and legendary actress Jaya Bachchan hosted a high-profile screening of ‘Dasvi,’ featuring her actor son Abhishek Bachchan.

Many senior leaders resorted to social media to express their opinions on Tushar Jalota’s film. Rajani Patil, a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, praised the film and wished the crew well.

Priyanka Chaturvedi, Shiv Sena’s Deputy Leader, called the film a “must watch” because of its emphasis on education, while Shama Mohamed, Indian National Congress’s National Spokesperson, appreciated Abhishek’s performance as well as the film’s comedic tone.

Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan attended the screening.

The film stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur and tells the story of a dishonest yet ignorant politician who realises the value of education while imprisoned.

The social comedy ‘Dasvi’ has previously been played to rapturous applause in the Agra Central Jail, with many inmates even deciding to study for their tenth grade exam after seeing it.
