Through her production company Outsiders Films in association with Viacom18 Studios, actress Taapsee Pannu is planning to produce the film ‘Dhak Dhak,’ a drama about four women and their life-changing trek to the world’s highest motorable pass.
The protagonists are Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, and Sanjana Sanghi. Taapsee, Pranjal Khandhdiya, and Ayush Maheshwari are co-producers of ‘Dhak Dhak.’ Tarun Dudeja directed the film, which was co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja.
“We tried to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen,” Taapsee explains. Dhak is the narrative of four women who realize that freedom is something that must be earned rather than granted.
“From ‘Chashme Baddoor’ to ‘Shabaash Mithu’ and now to ‘Dhak Dhak,’ Viacom18 Studios has been a key part of my path in the film industry.” I am confident that this journey will be educational.”
“Dhak Dhak” is a heart-warming story about four ladies stepping out of their cocoons and discovering themselves through this voyage of introspection and adventure, according to Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Studios. This was the ideal script, and it fits right in with our storytelling DNA.”
Pranjal Khandhdiya, the producer, adds: “Dhak Dhak is a unique movie about four strong personalities and a fantastic bike trip across beautiful scenery. ‘Dhak Dhak’ will undoubtedly enchant our listeners.”
The film is now in production and will be released in theatres in 2023.
