Fukrey 3 Movie Review: A Fun Comedy with a Dash of Seriousness
Newzdaddy Entertainment updates
When “Fukrey” first came out ten years ago, it introduced us to Choochaa and Hunny, two students who were up to all sorts of mischief while dreaming of college life. Now, with “Fukrey 3,” their dreams and the movie itself have grown bigger.
The movie starts with a quick recap of the first two “Fukrey” films, set to catchy music. We meet our familiar characters: Choocha, who’s as silly as ever; Hunny, the brains behind the operation; Panditji, who keeps the gang together with his humor; and Bholi Panjaban, who has her sights set on becoming a minister. Lali Halwai doesn’t have a clear role but makes great masala chai. Fazal makes a cute cameo.

Bholi, who used to be a criminal, now wants to win the Delhi Assembly elections and become a minister. Her plans are in jeopardy when Choocha becomes popular, leading to a power struggle between the gang and Bholi, who walks around with two big bodyguards.
Pankaj Tripathi steals the show with his humor, even when the jokes aren’t that great. But it’s Choocha who’s at the center of the story. The first half of the movie is full of jokes, some good and some not so-good. But just before the break, the story takes a serious turn.

The second half focuses on serious issues affecting the people of Delhi, like the water crisis and the struggle against the tanker mafia. There are touching moments, like a boy blocking a water tanker and people storming a water park with an alligator.
Despite these serious scenes, “Fukrey” keeps its goofy humor, which sometimes feels a bit lazy but still manages to make you laugh.
The movie had the chance to develop its strong female character, but it’s mostly about the goofy antics of the gang.
In “Fukrey 3,” you’ll find a mix of humor and real-world issues that keep you entertained throughout.
