More than 4,700 students happily got their degrees during GLS University’s 8th Convocation Ceremony on February 19, 2025. In order to celebrate academic success, graduates, instructors, and prominent visitors gathered for a ceremony that was full of excitement, emotions, and a sense of accomplishment.
Prominent personalities graced the occasion, offering words of wisdom and support. The Honourable Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, was the Chief Guest and spoke virtually to the audience. He underlined the significance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the role that education can play in determining the destiny of the country. He commended GLS University’s dedication to academic success and urged students to face the outside world with self-assurance, originality, and a sense of accountability.
The president of the Gujarat Law Society, Shri Pankaj Patel, thanked the graduates and recognised the critical role that GLS University plays in educating the next generation. He was proud of the university’s ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of instruction.
GLS University President Shri Sudhir Nanavati gave a motivational lecture regarding the university’s revolutionary path. He urged them to continue aiming for greatness in all facets of their lives and reminded them that learning never ends.
Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director of GLS University, added to the motivation by expressing her sincere delight in the accomplishments of her students. She discussed the value of leadership and the critical role that education plays in forming a society that is progressive.
Additionally, two outstanding people were honoured with Honorary Doctorates at the Convocation:
For his exceptional services to law and education, Hon. Justice Shri C.K. Thakker received recognition. Many in the legal profession have found inspiration in his career as a Supreme Court judge. He exhorted law school graduates to defend justice in a fair and honest manner.
Renowned for his outstanding contributions to Gujarati literature and culture, Shri Tushar Shukla was a poet, lyricist, and broadcaster. His address drove the audience to tears, and his words have touched the hearts of countless people.
GLS University Honoured Its Finest Performers With Esteemed Honours:
- 34 students were awarded Gold & Silver Medals for their outstanding academic performances.
- Another 34 students were recognized as Best Students across various faculties, including Law, IT, Management, Computer Applications, and Design.
- 58 Ph.D. scholars were conferred their doctoral degrees, marking the completion of their rigorous research journey.
