The Gujarat Prajapati Samaj, known for its strong cultural and social roots, recently celebrated a proud moment in its history — the completion of 100 glorious years of service to society. The “Shatabdi Mahotsav” was held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Shri Bhagwat Vidyapith, located in Sola, Ahmedabad. The event was a spectacular gathering filled with love, learning, blessings, and pride, drawing nearly 15,000 people from across Gujarat.
This Centenary Festival wasn’t just another community event. It was a celebration of 100 years of unity, progress, and empowerment. The Gujarat Prajapati Samaj has always stood firm on the pillars of education, social service, cultural pride, and development. This festival beautifully showcased their achievements while setting the direction for the future.
To make the centenary year meaningful, the community organized several awareness and empowerment programs throughout the year. From cultural activities to educational initiatives, their efforts were focused on strengthening community bonds and inspiring the next generation.
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Pujya Gyanvatsal Swami from the globally respected BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Swamiji offered his heartfelt blessings and delivered a powerful and practical message on self-growth, social contribution, and collective development. His words touched every heart and encouraged everyone to think beyond personal goals and contribute to society.
Under the dedicated leadership of Shri Keshavlal S. Prajapati, President of the Gujarat Prajapati Samaj, a major announcement was made during the festival — the construction of a modern residential girls’ hostel that will benefit 500 daughters from the community.
This state-of-the-art facility will include:
- A traditional as well as E-library
- Smart classrooms for digital learning
- A cafeteria for healthy meals
- A fully equipped gym
- A medical room for regular check-ups and emergencies
This initiative is a big step towards empowering girls through education and safe accommodation, making it easier for young women from rural or low-income families to pursue their academic dreams in cities like Ahmedabad.
During the event, important resolutions were passed that focus on future social, educational, and developmental activities. These include:
- Providing scholarships for deserving students
- Organizing career guidance seminars and skill workshops
- Promoting women empowerment
- Preserving cultural heritage through festivals and events
- Encouraging youth leadership and entrepreneurship
The entire event served as a platform for sharing ideas, strengthening community bonds, and planning the future roadmap for a stronger and more progressive society.
What made the event even more special was the massive turnout. Members from across Gujarat — from cities and small towns — came together to take part in this historic celebration. From children to elders, everyone took pride in being part of a community that values unity, education, and development.
The success of such a large-scale event is never possible without a dedicated team. Along with President Keshavlal S. Prajapati, the following key members played important roles in organizing the event:
- Vijaybhai K. Prajapati
- Prof. Dr. Jayantibhai Prajapati
- Dr. Vidhi Ojha
- Varshaben Hareja
- Arunaben Prajapati
- Vasantbhai Prajapati
Together with several volunteers and committee members, they worked day and night to ensure that every detail — from seating to meals to stage arrangements — was perfectly managed.
This grand Centenary Festival will surely be remembered as a milestone in the history of Gujarat Prajapati Samaj. It’s not just about celebrating the past — it’s about inspiring the future. The energy, unity, and commitment seen at the event will continue to guide and motivate the younger generation to serve society and carry forward the proud legacy of the community.
