Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan seems to be quite convinced and excited about his latest offering, Vikram. During the trailer and audio release of the film, Vishwaroopam editor Mahesh Narayanan revealed that Kamal Haasan was quite convinced with the final cut of the film, and had put his reaction in a simple word, ‘a dipole’, which translates to ‘awesome’. He congratulated Lokesh at the event stating that such an appreciation was not easy to get, that too from Kamal Haasan.

Vikram is billed as an action thriller revolving around gangs dealing with drugs. The film stars Kamal Haasan along with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. The rest of the star cast includes Antony Verghese, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Shanvi Srivastava, Shivani Narayanan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram, and Hareesh Peradi. Suriya has made a special appearance in the film and the latest we hear is that Lokesh Kanagaraj, too, has faced the camera. In fact, the team of Vikram had also managed to keep the presence of Suriya in the film a top-secret. It was only during the audio launch of the film that Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed Suriya’s presence in the film.

Cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj. The music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander. Vikram marks Anirudh’s second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2.
