Indian Army’s Paramotor Expedition: A Sky-High Tribute Across India

In a remarkable ceremony at Bhuj, Lt Gen Mohit Malhotra, GOC, Desert Corps, flagged in the Indian Army Paramotor Expedition, an extraordinary journey under the NATEX K2K National Expedition. This unprecedented expedition took off from Kibithu in Arunachal Pradesh, the easternmost town of India, and soared all the way to Kutch in Gujarat, marking a special tribute to the 25 years of the Kargil War and the Centenary Celebrations of the ‘Bombay Sappers War Memorial.’
Record-Breaking Journey:
Starting on 29 November 2024, the team, consisting of dedicated officers and thirty soldiers, covered an impressive 10,683 kilometers. They navigated para motors through 52 touch points, spanning across rugged mountains, picturesque valleys, fertile plains, and the scenic Rann of Kutch, flying over nine states and a union territory. This unique route paid homage to citizens from east to west who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
