Ahmedabad, September 13, 2023: Adani Wind, part of Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), has some exciting news. Their gigantic 5.2 MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG), the largest in India, has just received a special certification. This certification, given by WindGuard GmbH, means they can now make these turbines for people around the world. It’s like getting a gold star for being really good!
This certification says that Adani Wind’s 5.2 MW WTG is super safe and top quality. People from all over the world will trust it. It’s kind of like having a certificate for being really good at something.
This big certificate also says that Adani’s WTG follows global rules for how it’s made and tested. It’s like saying they play by the same rules as everyone else. They tested the big turbine at Mundra in Gujarat, and it passed with flying colors!
Mr. Vneet Jaain, the Director of Adani New Industries Limited, said, “This certificate shows that our 5.2 MW WTG is great and helps make clean energy cheaper. We want to be the best in the world at making renewable energy equipment. India is a great place to make things, and we want to help the whole world get clean energy.”
Mr. Milind Kulkarni, the Chief Operating Officer of Adani Wind, said, “This certificate is like a big thank you to our team for working hard to make wind power better. We use cool technology to make power that’s good for the environment and not too expensive.”
The 5.2 MW wind turbine made by Adani Wind is really huge! It’s got a rotor that’s 160 meters wide, and it reaches up to 200 meters high. That’s taller than most buildings! It’s one of the most powerful wind turbines you can find on land, like a superhero of wind energy. Adani Wind worked with W2E Wind to Energy GmbH in Germany to make it.
