Champions for the fifth time The Mumbai Indians, captained by Rohit Sharma, have equipped their players with excellent training and recreation facilities in preparation for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. On Sunday (March 27), MI will play Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium in a day match to kick off their IPL 2022 season.
After the second Test against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru last week, Rohit and his Team India vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah joined the MI bubble. Arjun Tendulkar, a Mumbai all-rounder and the son of superstar Sachin Tendulkar, joined the two in the training.
Captain Rohit was seen hooking up with Arjun in a video published on the Mumbai Indians’ official YouTube page. Along with Bumrah, Rohit talked with Arjun and a few other young members of the team.
Rohit addressed Arjun as “the one and only” and inquired about his family in Marathi. During the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru last month, MI re-signed Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun for the 2022 season.
Since 2021, Arjun Tendulkar has been a member of the MI family. At the major auction, he was snatched up by the Mumbai-based franchise for Rs 30 lakh. Arjun has yet to make his T20 league debut for the five-time champions.
Kieron Pollard, the West Indies all-rounder, was seen receiving his Mumbai Indians outfit for the 2022 season at the team’s hotel in the same video. Pollard later met Mumbai Indian captain Rohit Sharma at the MI venue. Mumbai Indians had previously signed Pollard and Rohit. for the world’s wealthiest T20 league’s 15th season
The 13,000 square meters “MI Arena” is part of MI’s protected bio bubble and has been designed to accommodate both team and individual sections. A futsal pitch, box cricket, pickleball court, foot volleyball court, MI Battleground, golf driving range, mini-golf, a kids zone, and MI Café are all located there.
A team room with a state-of-the-art gym, massage chairs, gaming consoles, arcade games, an indoor basketball shooter, a section for the music band, table tennis, pool table, kids play area, café, and a fan wall is also available at the team hotel.
