Hum Chale Pathshala 2.0 Takes Jain Education Global
Imagine a world where learning knows no boundaries, where education transcends borders, and where communities come together to nurture their heritage. That’s the vision behind Hum Chale Pathshala 2.0, a groundbreaking initiative that has taken the spirit of Jain education worldwide. Let’s embark on a journey through the evolution of this remarkable program, from its humble beginnings in the suburbs of Mumbai to its global reach today.
From Local Roots to Global Impact
Five years ago, the Pathshala scheme was a local endeavor, confined to the close-knit community of Goregaon. However, inspired by the success stories trickling in from various corners of the city, a decision was made to scale up. The first large-scale Pathshala scheme unfolded, spanning from Andheri to Dahisar, involving 2,203 eager students. The response was overwhelming, with enthusiastic feedback fueling the desire to expand further.
Sau Chalo Pathshala Jaiye
In 2019, the Samkit Group introduced “Sau Chalo Pathshala Jaiye,” encompassing all Mumbai Pathshalas and extending its reach to Ahmedabad, Baroda, Junagadh, and Surat. This ambitious endeavor brought together over 900 Pathshalas and 34,227 students. The numbers spoke volumes: 30,50,984 gathas completed, 36,11,495 attendance records logged. It wasn’t just a success; it was a revival. Pathshalas on the brink of closure found new life, bustling with activity and enthusiasm. Some even operated in three shifts to accommodate the surge in attendance.
Nurturing Tradition, Securing the Future
At the heart of these initiatives lay a simple yet profound intention: to rekindle the bond between children and their Pathshalas, securing the future of Jain shashan. And indeed, the efforts bore fruit. Children immersed themselves in learning, mastering new sutras, and forging connections with their community. The Pathshala ceased to be just a place of learning; it became a hub of camaraderie and growth.
Expanding Horizons
The following year saw “Sau Chalo Pathshala Jaiye” expand its reach across India. With 2,200+ Pathshalas from 21 states and 89,395 students, the program witnessed unprecedented participation. The numbers were staggering: 88,57,140 gathas completed, 1,02,49,059 attendance recorded. But amidst these impressive figures, the true success story was the transformation of priorities. Children, some traveling long distances daily, others overcoming illness or prior commitments, made Pathshala their topmost priority.
Hum Chale Pathshala 2.0
With each success came a ripple effect, echoing far beyond national borders. Requests poured in from Jain communities worldwide, eager to join the movement. Thus, Hum Chale Pathshala 2.0 was born, inviting 24 countries to partake in this global celebration of learning. Over 2,500 Pathshalas from 19 states joined hands, along with 94,852 students spanning a wide age range. Together, they completed a staggering 86,42,531 gathas and logged 1,13,96,184 attendance records.
