In the much-awaited Season 8 of “Koffee with Karan” on Disney+ Hotstar, fans are in for a treat with candid conversations and fresh segments featuring some of Bollywood’s biggest names. The lineup includes Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, Kiara Advani, Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Jahnvi Kapoor, and many more.

Hosted by the multi-talented Karan Johar, this season promises not only the classic rapid-fire round but also introduces new segments like the Imposter game, Koffee wreck tangle, Kwiz & tell, and Ask me Anything with Karan, offering viewers an even closer look into the lives of their favorite celebrities.

However, one notable absence from the couch this season is Bollywood’s megastar, Shah Rukh Khan. At a recent press conference, Karan Johar addressed the question of why Shah Rukh Khan didn’t make it to the show this time.

Expressing his feelings, Karan said, “I miss him immensely. I just know that if there’s any mega star in our industry who has earned the right to speak when he needs to, it’s Shah Rukh Khan, and I, being his closest friend and family, should understand that.” Karan acknowledged the common perception that he could easily request Shah Rukh Khan to appear on the show, given their close relationship. However, he revealed, “I didn’t ask because I know he didn’t want to be in that dilemmatic kind of situation where he had to say no to me.”

Karan shared the depth of his bond with Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “He is family to me; he’s my older brother; he’s everything. I pick and choose what I ask for because he’s somebody that matters the world to me. I feel like when the right time is there, I will ask him, and I know when he wants to speak, he will.”

Highlighting Shah Rukh Khan’s charismatic personality, Karan praised him as the “wizard of words” and the “emperor of entertainment” both on and off-screen. He emphasized that Shah Rukh Khan is an integral part of his daily life, sharing, “I have Koffee with Karan with Shah Rukh every night, with Gauri and his family.”

In conclusion, while fans may miss Shah Rukh Khan on the Koffee with Karan couch this season, Karan Johar assures that when the time is right, the megastar will join in for an unforgettable conversation.
