Kolkata, October 12, 2023: Get ready, Kolkata! The biggest Navratri party is coming to town – Raasleela. It’s not your usual dance competition; it’s a Navratri Cultural Extravaganza. People from all over West Bengal will join in the fun. The announcement happened at a press meet in Kolkata’s Drunken Teddy.
What’s Raasleela? It’s all about celebrating the traditional dance style of Gujarat, Raas-Garba, in our modern world. The goal is to bring the community together. The Navratri excitement begins on October 20th at the Royal Courtyard in Nicco Park from 5 pm. Grab your friends and family for a fantastic time.
Lots of famous folks were at the press conference, like Akihiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Motors India Pvt Ltd; Priti Patel, a well-known dancer; Bhavna Hemani, a social worker; and many others.

The event will be judged by people from different walks of life. There are awards for the best-dressed men and women, judged by Neha Kataria and others. If you’re not participating, there’s a special round called “Radha ne Shyam mali Jase” for you. It’s a chance to dance and have fun, and maybe even find your Radhe Shyam.
Raasleela is the brainchild of Anneysha Thakker and Mehul Thakkar. They want to celebrate Navratri just like Kolkata celebrates Durga Puja, with music, dancing, and devotion. So get your traditional outfits ready and join the fun! Navratri is a time for joy, music, and dancing, and Raasleela is the place to be.
