Kolkata, September 30, 2023: Today, BDG Ramesh Goyal Seva Sansthan (BDGRGSS) and FACES celebrated the first birthday of a unique mobile hospital called the Lotus TMT Medical Bus. This special bus travels to different places to help people who need medical care. It’s the biggest one in Eastern India.
They started this bus on July 31, 2022, and just a year later, they’re celebrating its success. The very first camp they organized was at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on August 1, 2022. This camp was for the hardworking people who take care of the sports ground, showing how much they care about their community.
Since then, the bus has traveled over 13,000 kilometers, held 250 camps, and helped 41,600 patients in West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. It’s sponsored by BDG Metal and Power Ltd. and gets medical support from Anandlok Hospital.
This special medical bus is 12 meters long and has everything you need for basic healthcare. They can check your eyes, teeth, and ears, give you general check-ups, do lab tests, provide medicines, and even give you glasses if you need them.
Many important people came to celebrate this anniversary, like Mr. Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Janab Nadimul Haque, Mr. Javed Ahamed Khan, Sri. Ramesh Chand Goyal, Mr. Imran Zaki, Sri. Alok Goyal, Sri. Sumit Bhatt, and more from Kolkata. They also honored the heroes who helped during the Covid pandemic.
