Major General Arvind Kapoor handed over the charge of Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu to Major General Ramesh Shanmugam G on 31 July 2023.
Major General Arvind Kapoor has superannuated on 31 July 2023 after nearly four decades of professional service in the Indian Army. The NCC Directorate of Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu will fondly remember him always for his unique contribution to Gujarat NCC propelling them to a higher level of excellence. His relentless efforts resulted in the State Government enhancing various allowances of cadets and ANOs. He has an excellent rapport with the State Government of Gujarat.
Major General Ramesh Shanmugam G was commissioned in Electronic and Mechanical Engineers in 1991 as a Technical Graduate. He has held various staff and instructional appointments other than Regimental Service. He was the Commandant and Managing Director of the prestigious 505 Army Base Wksp. He was MG EME at HQ Southern Western Command earlier.
