Marengo CIMS Hospital hosted the 21st Joint International Conference (JIC) 2025, which was a huge success. Over 3,000 doctors and delegates from six nations attended the event, which took place from January 10 to 12, fostering a lively environment of cooperation and education.
In honor of its 30th anniversary in academia, this year’s conference included specialized symposiums on a variety of topics, including emergency medicine, neurology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular sciences, and pulmonology. All delegates, including postgraduate students and healthcare executives, gained a deeper understanding of the newest research and developments from renowned national and worldwide medical professionals.
The conference’s high point was the publication of “Stories of the Heart,” a compilation of inspirational accounts of people who overcame heart problems. Pujya Dr. Gnan Vatsal Swami Ji launched the book and stressed the value of compassion in healthcare. The occasion gained a spiritual depth due to the presence of such a famous figure.
The first heart transplant in Gujarat was performed in December 2016, according to Dr. Dhiren Shah, Director of the Cardiac Surgery Department and Heart Transplant Program at Marengo CIMS Hospital. “We are proud to spread awareness about organ donation and the transformative power of heart transplants, having completed 56 transplants,” he stated.
The Chief Editor of “Stories of the Heart,” Ms. Preeta Chag, gave a passionate speech regarding the book. It’s about our patients’ emotional fortitude and victories, not simply medical tales. “We hope these stories show the human side of healthcare and inspire readers,” she said.
In keeping with the common goal of expanding medical knowledge and enhancing patient care, several notable guests attended the event, including Dr. Sharad Thakar, Dr. Pathik Patwari, and Dr. Raajiv Singhal.
The Managing Director and Group CEO of Marengo Asia Hospitals, Dr Raajiv Singhal, discussed the value of teamwork in the medical field. “JIC 2025 is a forum for innovation and excellence in patient care, not merely a conference. Through cooperation and ongoing learning, we hope to establish new standards in healthcare,” he said.
The chairman of Marengo CIMS Hospital, Dr. Keyur Parikh, emphasized the value of collaboration and continuous learning in the development of medicine. “JIC is evidence of our commitment to lifelong learning. “The launch of ‘Stories of the Heart’ at this event serves as a reminder of the profound changes that can be achieved through emotional and medical support,” he stated.
The importance of knowledge-sharing in healthcare was underlined by Dr. Tejas V. Patel, Chairman of the Scientific Committee at JIC 2025. He said, “This conference reaffirms our commitment to providing transformative patient care by inspiring innovation and learning.”
Marengo CIMS Hospital is still in the vanguard of medical excellence, pushing the limits of what is possible in healthcare thanks to the success of JIC 2025.
