Massive Turnout at Shri Nagarvel Hanuman Mandir for Joyful Hanuman Jayanti Festivities
Celebration of Shri Hanuman Jayanti is a bright and special chance to move from darkness to light through devotion to Hanumanji: Mahant Shri Ranganathacharyaji Maharaj
At the ancient Shri Nagarvel Hanuman Mandir on Amaraiwadi-Rakhiyal Road in Ahmedabad, many devoted people and visitors gathered from early morning to have the darshan (holy view) of Shri Nagarvel Hanuman Dada on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. They offered sindoor (holy orange powder), oil, flower garlands, prasad, and coconuts, and felt blessed after the darshan.

At the temple, different rituals were done in the morning like Uttapan Aarti, Tiranjan, and hoisting of the temple flag. There was also a recitation of Sundarkand, and in the afternoon from 12 to 12:30, aarti of Hanuman Jayanti took place with bhajans (devotional songs). A special offering of 56 types of food (Chhappan Bhog Annakut) was made. Along with this, a Mahaprasad (community meal) and Maruti Mahayagna (a special fire ritual for Hanumanji) were also arranged.
On this occasion, the temple’s Mahant Shri Ranganathacharyaji Maharaj gave a talk about the greatness of Hanumanji. He said that a large number of devotees have come to the temple to see Hanuman Dada, and everyone is celebrating Hanuman Jayanti with great devotion. The celebration of Hanuman Jayanti is a special opportunity to gain success, peace, and happiness through devotion, worship, and prayers to Hanumanji.
Shri Hanumanji is the form of knowledge, intelligence, wisdom, good values, and strength. Still, he never shows pride. He is full of kindness, compassion, and grace. He is very generous towards those who pray to him. Hanumanji never shows off his greatness. In our country, Hanumanji is accepted as a people’s god. He is an awakened deity, and very simple and easy to connect with. We can find Hanumanji everywhere—from small dairies to big temples in cities, villages, and societies. The chant “Ram Lakshman Janaki, Jai Bolo Hanuman Ki” is famous all over India.
