2022 is the International Day of Parents.
It is an annual celebration held on June 1st to honour all parents worldwide for being the rock of their families and for selflessly nourishing and safeguarding their children. Parents Day honours not only all moms and fathers, but also all guardians, caregivers, and older siblings who served as a parent in someone’s life. In 2012, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the day as the Global Day of Parents. This was done to honour all parents for their unwavering commitment to rearing their children throughout their lives.
