Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians and India, is on track to become only the seventh hitter in men’s T20 cricket history to reach 10,000 runs.
As he prepares to lead MI in their second match of IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals at the DY Pati Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, the 34-year-old is just 64 runs away from hitting the milestone.
After Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma will become only the second Indian hitter to reach 10,000 runs in the game’s shortest format. In T20I cricket, Rohit Sharma has scored 3313 runs and holds the record for most runs scored in the shortest format at the international level. In the IPL, he has scored 5652 runs and is now ranked third all-time in the T20 league.
