Mission CHANDRA
Mission CHANDRA science competition, which is being organized by O/o Controller of Communication Accounts, Gujarat Circle in collaboration with Space Application Centre ISRO, Gujarat Council on Science and Technology, and Science City had received more than 80 nominations from teams from Engineering Colleges across Gujarat.
Over 80 teams with more than 300 students across engineering colleges of Gujarat competed with their Digital 3D model on 19th August 2023 at Auditorium 1 Science City. Out of 80 teams, 11 teams emerged as winners.
The felicitation function for the winners of the preliminary round was organized on 22nd August 2023 at MIMANSA, 6th Floor, O/o CCA Gujarat, P&T Admn. Bldg, Khanpur, Ahmedabad in the presence of Pr.CCA, Western Zone, CPMG Gujarat & CCA Gujarat, and dignitaries from SAC ISRO, GUJCOST, and Science City Ahmedabad.
Cash prizes and Certificates were awarded to the winners of the preliminary round. They shall witness Chandrayaan-3 landing on the moon’s surface live from Space Applications Centre, ISRO on 23.08.2023.
The 11 winning teams move to the final round of the competition in which they will make the physical model (prototype) of the digital model (launch vehicle, lander, or rover) submitted in the preliminary round. The evaluation for the same shall be done on 25th September 2023 at Science City, Ahmedabad.
