Mouni Roy Dives into New Dance Style for Disney+ Hotstar’s “Sultan of Delhi

Disney+ Hotstar’s exciting new series, “Sultan of Delhi,” is all set to take you on a journey filled with power, friendship, and the charm of the 60s. Based on Arnab Ray’s book, “Sultan of Delhi: Ascension,” the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment and directed by Milan Luthria, with co-direction and co-writing by Suparn Verma. Milan Luthria, known for his larger-than-life entertainment, makes his OTT directorial debut with this spectacular show, which is scheduled to release on October 13, 2023. The series boasts a stellar cast, including Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Sharma, Vinay Pathak, Nishant Dahiya, Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada.

Mouni Roy, a talented actress, has always wowed her audience with remarkable performances. In “Sultan of Delhi,” she took on the challenge of a special cabaret dance sequence. She left no stone unturned in dedicating extra time to rehearsals and perfecting her body language.

Speaking about this, Mouni Roy shared, “Milan Sir is very precise, and he knows exactly what he wants. I remember always asking him which song we were doing the cabaret to. He always said it would be an original song and superb. When you watch the show, you will see that I attempted Jazz for the very first time in my life. I rehearsed more than usual because it required a different body language, and I wasn’t very confident with the dance style. I think we all just followed Milan Sir’s vision.”
